American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Way overpriced. I got two donuts one Nutella and one plane the Nutella taste like dark sweet chocolate not hazelnut taste I paid $4:50 for each donuts donβt worth it. I will not go again.

The donuts lacked any discernible flavor, even the blueberry variety, and were merely coated in a sugary glaze. I couldn't bring myself to take a second bite. It was a disappointing experience, especially considering the price. Even Dunkin' Donuts offers a superior taste compared to this. I'm relieved I only ordered one, as I feel like I wasted $4.50.

Today was my 1st time at this location. And the 2 doughnuts i got today were STALE! I got a passion fruit one and a hibiscus one. Both stale! Fresh doughnuts are supposed to be soft and airy & fluffy! These were far from that. It was disappointing wasting $11 & change, but because I'm a Brooklyn girl and loved their Downtown Brooklyn location, I had high hopes for the Astoria location, but No dice! Hard pass.

The donut shop is nice and the donuts look very pleasing to the eye but theyβre disgusting. I ordered the strawberry shortcake and the donut was overproofed, excessively yeasty, almost alcoholic, and the texture was aweful. I had to spit this one out. So letβs go over it. The initial look of the donut is 5 stars! People first eat with the eyes. When you cut into the donut thereβs a big air pocket between the icing and the bread. The smell was off putting and very yeasty. The crumb was soft but not crumbly but flavorless. When you bite down into the a cut section you get the oversweet icing followed by the puking aroma of over proofed yeasty smell that turns your stomach. Please change the recipe. (I really hate to recommend this but thereβs a Krispy Kreme on the corner to the left when you exit the restaurant).

I really wanted to love these donuts. They look beautiful and have so many creative flavors. However I bought one at the end of the day and it was so dry and flavorless in the inside. They are HUGE and the outside is decent but the inside isnβt worth the calories.
